Free on one computer
Every feature, no trial clock, no nagging. You only pay if you want LifeHQ on more than one device, or want to share a calendar with someone else — $3 a month, or $12 for a household of up to six.
Free
Nothing, forever.
- Every module, with no feature held back
- Unlimited calendars, tasks, contacts, debts and habits
- All four reminder channels
- The Windows and Android applications
- Public read-only calendar links, so anyone can subscribe
- A full export of your data, at any time
- Account deletion that actually deletes
One computer at a time. You can move it to a different one five times, and signing out and back in on the same machine does not count.
Plus
$3 a month for one person, or $12 a month for a household of up to six. Six separate subscriptions would be $18, so the household plan pays for itself from the fourth person.
- Sign in on as many devices as you like, with no move limit
- Share a calendar with family or anyone else with an account
- On the household plan, everyone keeps their own account and their own private data — only the subscription is shared
- Cancel yourself at any time, from your own billing page
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and your data is untouched either way. Drop back to free and everything is still there — you simply return to one device.
What you are relying on, either way
The same honesty as everywhere else on this site. Paying does not change any of these.
- No uptime guarantee — this runs on one server
- No support desk; there is an inbox and one person reading it
- It is not end-to-end encrypted: an administrator can technically read your data
- No promise that a third-party plugin is safe beyond our review
Why this split
Because one person on one computer costs almost nothing to serve, and there is no reason to charge for it. Several devices and shared calendars are what turn LifeHQ into something a household depends on, and something a household depends on should be paid for rather than propped up on goodwill.
There are still no adverts, because advertising would require tracking you, and no data sale, because your calendar is not ours to sell. If that ever has to change you will be told before it does, not after.
